A Digital campaign for Petronas to tie up with Waze.





Challenge:
During the balik kampong period, accident rates spike.
Speed is the major cause of these accidents.



Solution:
If safety messages don’t work, we’d need to think differently.

We reward drivers who stay within the safe speed limit.

In partnership with Waze, we plot the accident prone spots along the major highways and trunk roads
(data obtained from Ministry of Transport)

When the driver reaches the area, a pop up notification on Waze will appear,
alerting the driver to slow down.


Notification Example:

FREE Coffee for driving safely.
Redeem at any Petronas station.

If the driver stays within the speed limit for the next 3kms, another pop-up notification will appear to reward the driver –
e.g Free Coffee, meal, soft drink, snacks.
